Native XML Plugin issue

Describe the issue or problem
When I go to “Native XML Plugin”, and select an issue to export, I get these warnings/errors :

We have subscribed to crossref recently and defined DOIs (but still not pushed)

Upgrade to OJS 3.5.0.4 is planned to end june 2026 (because we have a lot of traffic right now)

Found the issue : one of the submission had the authors list in the subtitle field instead of the contributors section. I’ve asked the journal editor to fix that. We’ll see if the export works now

No luck, still having the same error when exporting an issue :

So it turns out that some authors did have empty affiliations, breaking the export. After fixing affiliations fields (complete missing translations and deleting empty ones), the export worked.

I don’t know how submitters passed the submission without a proper affiliation field. I’ll investigate that

Depending on your installation, check php or nginx logs right after trying to export. You will get more detailed errors
