While registering our journal with http://www.openarchives.org, even though we passed the validation test, we saw the following message towards the end of the validation report.
Namespace declared for v2.0 oai-identifiers is ojs.pkp.sfu.ca.
The namespace-identifier for oai-identifiers declared in the repository Identifier element a is already registered to another base URL, namely http://e-learning.coventry.ac.uk/ojs/index.php/joaw/oai. We trust that this is another repository operated by your organization. [We are not related to the journal mentioned in this URL]
Successfully updated OAI registration database to status COMPLIANT.
I believe it took the default namespace for oai-identifier which in turn was the same for some other journal.
Can the oai-identifier be changed to avoid confusion in future. If yes, how can this be done?
