Missing ROR and affiliation in XML export (OJS 3.4.09)

Hello,

We are running OJS 3.4.09 and have encountered an issue where the generated XML export (tested with Crossref Export Plugin and the Native XML Export Plugin) does not include:

  • ROR identifiers for institutional affiliations

  • author affiliation fields

From what I can see:

  • Author affiliations are stored correctly in the database.

  • The XML output omits and any ROR-related fields.

My questions are:

  1. Is ROR support for affiliations currently implemented in OJS 3.4.x export plugins (Crossref/Native)?

  2. Should author affiliations normally appear in the exported XML, or is this a known limitation/bug?

  3. If not implemented yet, is there a planned update or recommended workaround for including ROR IDs and affiliations in exported XML (e.g., patch, plugin customization)?
