Hello,
I’m the director of the Communication Institute for Online Scholarship (www.cios.org), a US not-for-profit that has been providing electronic academic services to the fields of human communication and journalism since 1986. We have published our open-access Electronic Journal of Communication / La Revue Electronique de Communication since 1990. The journal itself is hosted at www.cios.org but the former editor long-used OJS for editorial operations. That editor retired two years ago and publication was suspend while we searched for a new editor. Now that a new editor has been lined up, we’d like to get our instance of OJS updated to the current general release.
Unfortunately we have no one with the linux/apache/mysql/etc. expertise to do this. Our OJS was installed by a local information science volunteer who is long gone. That individual did leave us with extensive documentation for our OJS system and the computer that hosts it.
We are looking for someone to help us with this transition.
Best wishes,
Tim Stephen,
Professor of Communication, University at Albany (SUNY)
