Journal Manager loses notifications in Roles tab after upgrade

After recent upgrade to JM role in one or more journals in OJS loses all notifications. JMs have confirmed they are not getting emails.

Where can I edit this?

I see now that this seems to be the default for latest version.
The solution will be to change all JMs to JEs.
However, I had previously converted all JEs to JMs because it was mentioned that the JE role had been abandoned in favor of JM. And JEs then lost the Login As function in a previous release which was an essential function for Editors. Now it seems they have that function back again.

Can anyone confirm this, or am I making assumptions based on random quirks in the software?
