Is content in OMP indexed in ResearchGate?

Hello.

I just got an e-mail from a researcher. He tells me that some publications we have published in OMP has been indexed in ResearchGate, without him knowing it. He has asked all the other authors that have been involved, and none of them admits doing it. We therefore wonder whether this could have happened automatically? The unfortunate thing is that the registration has errors, and he has no access to fix it.

Hi @JohnDavid,

Are you able to provide a link to the publication in question on ResearchGate?

Sure! Here’s a couple of them:

The biggest concern is really that the indexing is incomplete, with authors and editors missing, and we have no access to correct this.

Can’t one of the authors claim authorship in RG and then Remove the item (under More > …)?

Hi @JohnDavid,

Interesting - thank you for sharing. As @mpbraendle, points out - having the authors claim the material may be a possible solution. You may also wish to just report the issue to Research gate directly: https://help.researchgate.net/hc/en-us/articles/14295807535121-How-to-report-content-if-you-re-not-a-ResearchGate-member

Thank you both, that’s good suggestions. I will tell the author, and hopefully this will solve the issue.
