In OCS "Validate URLs for Reading Tools" gives a Content Encoding Error

Hi

Under Reading Tools Setup the “Validate URLs for Reading Tools” link I presume goes through and tries to check the URLs contained in all published abstracts? I could only find a brief mention of it in OJS. In my test conference I juts have a few abstracts but if I click on it I get after quite a while a page that says:

Content Encoding Error

Hi @MikeL,

This checks the links in the Reading Tools to external databases that might be useful for readers; it’s not checking anything related to your papers/abstracts. I don’t think this feature is useful to you, but if you want to use it, you’ll need to edit your web server configuration to permit scripts to run longer.

Okies I totally misunderstood what this was for. Yep I wont need it.
Aside: How does it get fed the external databases to search? What databases?

Hi @MikeL,

The lists of databases are included in the software. See e.g.:
