How to remove orphaned articles

We are setting up a Journal that has been dormant for many years and are using OJS 3.3.0.21. As part of this process we have entered all the previously published issues and articles. Every now and then we stuffed this process up and now we are left with a small number of partially submitted items that we wish to remove (see screenshots).

I would appreciate some guidance on how to get rid of these orphans as we are just about to start receiving submissions.

There is a “Delete Incomplete Submissions” plugin you could try. It should be available in the plugin gallery, direct download: GitHub - lepidus/deleteIncompleteSubmissions: OJS 3.3 Plugin that allows editors to delete incomplete submissions from the journal. · GitHub

We cannot get the plugin to work and are now installing the latest version of OJS software.
