How to make PDFs open in browser instead of embedded viewer? (Pragma theme, OJS 3.5.0-3)

Hello,

I upgraded to OJS 3.5.0-3 and am using the Pragma theme. When you click on PDF article links, the PDF opens embedded in a small viewer on the page instead of opening in the full browser viewport.

What I want:
PDFs to open in the full browser viewport with the controls along the top (as they do in the Immersion, Classic and Health Sciences themes).

What’s happening:
PDFs are opening in a small embedded viewer on the article page.

What I’ve tried:

  • The PDF.js Viewer plugin is enabled but has no settings to configure this

  • Disabling the plugin makes PDFs download instead

My question:
Is there a setting or configuration option I’m missing to make PDFs open in the browser instead of embedding them on the page?
