How to get statistics on number of submissions per period

Hi all,
I need periodically to get the number of submissions received over a period of time. Say, how many submissions were received from such to such month within a year, or for the whole year.
I could do this with OJS 2.4.8, but cannot with OJS 3.1.
I’ve read an old topic on this issue and concluded this feature might be included in future releases of OJS
Is this kind of features foreseen in future releases of OJS? It would help a lot!

I think the Editorial Reports UI feature gets at what you are looking for.

It is scheduled for release as part of 3.2.
