There doesn’t seem to be a way of assigning a user to the copyeditor role in the user management tools. Is there some other means of doing it?

To do this, make sure you have the Journal Manager role, go to your journal management pages, and under the header ‘users’ select “enrol a user from this site in this journal”, there you can select the user and select “enrol user as…”. If you don’t see the copyeditor role here, that means that you haven’t turned on the separate copyeditor option. To do this, go to setup, and under step 4.5 choose “A Copyeditor will be assigned to work with each submission.” That should activate the copyeditor role.
