Our journals have been indexed in Google Scholar for several years. Around July 2026, we observed that nearly all previously indexed articles changed to citation-only records ([Citations]), and newly published articles are no longer being indexed in Google Scholar.
We have conducted a thorough technical review and found the following:
- Article pages are publicly accessible and return HTTP 200 OK.
- PDF files are publicly accessible.
- Google Search Console confirms that article pages are indexed by Google Search.
- Googlebot is actively crawling our website.
- Our hosting provider confirmed there have been no infrastructure changes and no persistent 403, 429, or 5xx errors affecting Googlebot.
- Highwire Press (
citation_*) metadata and Dublin Core metadata are present on article pages.
- Robots.txt does not block crawling.
Because the issue affected all journals on the same day, we suspect there may be a Google Scholar indexing or processing issue affecting our publisher.
We would be grateful if you could review our publisher domain and advise whether any technical issue is preventing normal indexing.

I’m sorry, but that is outside of the scope that we can provide here on the forum.
Recently, we’ve encountered a lot of “me too” threads about journals and other publications experiencing Google Scholar issues, and we’re attempting to direct them into one place and close off the other threads in order to help keep the forum more tidy in accordance with our guidelines. So, we will close this thread, and encourage you to share your experience on that thread if you have anything unique to contribute.
Feel free to share your experience, in this thread, if you’d like. But, please know that fixing systemic issues related to Google Scholar is out of the control of PKP.
In particular, I’d also like to draw your attention to this particular thread, that explains how OJS (this would also apply to OMP and OPS) operates in relation to Google Scholar:
