Get Files from Review to Copyedit/Publishing

Hi All,

we are running the latest stable version of OJS, and currently we are doing some test on submission, review, copyediting and publishing. Unfortunately, we get stuck right in the middle: We successfully submitted a contribution. As Editor (which is at the same time the reviewer) we assigned the submission to our self. Then we successfully reviewed the submission. If we proceed with “send to copyedit”, no file is sent to the copyedit stage. Do we miss anything? Do we need to make a special selection? Or is it really necessary to first open/download the file which is sent to the review and put it in revised files (as editor)? Please, any help is appreciated (we already had a look in the documentation, but that didn’t help).

Kind Regards
Joe

Hi @JoeDoe,

Could you please confirm which version of OJS you are currently using?

Kind Regards,
Patricia

Hi @pmangahis,

Thanks a lot for your reply. As mentioned above, we are running the latest stable version (3.3.0-8).

Best regards,
Joe

Hi @JoeDoe,

Thanks for confirming and for your patience. When a manuscript gets moved from review to copyediting, the system only prompts files when a revised file has been uploaded.

If a manuscript has been accepted without the author uploading this, you can select the files that should be copyedited. On the Copyediting tab, click Upload/Select Files followed by ‘Show files from all accessible workflow stages’ This will allow you to select files that have added to the Submission and Review stage.

I hope that this clarification is helpful, but please let me know if you have any additional questions.
