Format news in OJS 3

When visualizing a news published in the OJS the text does not present the pre-existing formatting created. Anything for that? I am using ojs 3.1.1. Version 3.0.1 also had the same problem.

Another related problem is that only the latest news is displayed even though setting to display more than one.

As far as I know Announcements do apply restricted HTML. Please check in your config.inc.php which HTML tags are allowed so you can check try to format it properly.
