File Replacement in Review stage

We are using OJS 3.0.2. Our editors often ask for more than one round of revisions without sending the manuscript for re-review, which means that authors would be uploading multiple revised files in the same review round.

The first step in the upload process has a drop-down menu to indicate whether the new file is a revision of a previous file. If the author selects that it is, will the new file replace the old one (thereby deleting the old file)?

Hi @akoehler,

OJS will never delete old revisions (unless you delete the submission or journal entirely) or replace files – older versions are always kept.
