Hi @Dr_P_Sivaram, thanks for including the additional information. ORCID functionality is now included with OJS and you should no longer be using the ORCID plugin. You should completely uninstall and remove the pluign. ORCID functionality can now be configured under “Settings → Users & Roles → ORCID” (see screenshot below). The next problem is that it can’t be activated if the Client ID and Client Secret are empty.

Please let me know if the Client ID is available for free.

So, I’ve entered the API key for Orcid and activated it.

How do I find out if the Orcid ID is in the database? And in which table?

Hi @mcahyoko,

The ORCiD identifier will be stored in user_settings (for users) and author_settings (for authors) with the setting_name of orcid.
