Errors after attempt to upgrade php version from 5.6 to 7.1

Hi,

we are still on OJS2.4.7. Yesterday I tried to upgrade the php version on our server from 5.6 to 7.1 and the OJS stopped working. After reverting back to php 5.6 the problem with captcha on the registration page appeared.
There are not letters displayed in the black box. Black box is there together with some multicolor dots but no text.
Can I resolve the issue quickly?

Hi @zmandic

I’m not sure that OJS 2+ supports PHP 7+. Have you considered upgrade to the latest stable OJS release? OJS 3.1.1-4, for example, supports up to PHP 7.2.

I’ve solved the issue. I messed up with the font location. Now it is ok.
