Hello all,

What does “create remote” mean in the Layout phase of the Editing stage?

Hi @ramon,

OJS supports remote URLs as galleys; if you’re hosting your published content somewhere else, rather than from within OJS, you’d use this to enter its URL.

When I click the radio button to Create remote Galley and then press Create button, the browser goes to a blank page /sectionEditor/uploadLayoutFile. It works with the Supplementary File creation radio button, though. Is there a bug in this process?

Hmmm… This is a pretty old OJS version and I cannot test it in order to see if it is a bug or…
When you get that blank page, do you see any error in your PHP error log file?
Else, maybe you could consider to upgrade to the current OJS 2.4.8-2 version?
