Doubts to update version ojs

Hi. I would need a manual with the steps to follow to make the update from version 2.4.7 to 3.0.1. I await your response.

Hi @gardbeat,

The upgrade process is documented as usual in docs/UPGRADE. It’s the same process as OJS 2.x upgrades, but involves applying more changes to the database etc. – so make sure to take a backup before you run it.

What kind of changes / modifications are made to the database? Is the version 2.x bd compatible with the 3.x bd? Thanks in advance.

Hi @gardbeat,

There are tons of changes to the workflow, permissions model, etc. – the two databases are not compatible. You can upgrade from 2.x to 3.x, but not downgrade from 3.x to 2.x.
