CSS parsing problems

We recently tried to upload a new CSS file but OJS reports a parsing error when we tried to do so. We are, however, confident that the error is not on our end because when we try to upload the CSS file which is already uploaded (and which has in the past already passed parsing) the same parsing error shows up. Could this be some OJS bug? Or perhaps an installation problem?

Hi @helpapparatus,

Can you include the message you’re getting? A screenshot might help.

Hi @helpapparatus I am facing the same problems, I got the message:

"Errors occurred processing this form
Invalid journal stylesheet format. Accepted format is .css.

I am sure the extension file is .css, How is the solution?

Thank in advance

Having a similar issue. I removed comments from the beginning of the file and even tried uploading an empty css file and it’s still not working. I can’t upload images or anything else to the journal in Step 5 Customizing the look. I get Invalid journal stylesheet format. Accepted format is is when trying to upload the a stylesheet and a similar error for images. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Candace

Hi @camauric,

The problem is likely that OJS is having trouble determining MIME types for uploads. There are many threads in the forum on this – if you’re unable to find a resolution from one of those, post what you’ve tried here and what the result was. (Also include your OJS version.)
