Hey everyone. We needed a simple contact form plugin for our journal and considering there was no official solution, we decided to build our own (full disclosure, AI was used during development).
For now, current version supports features like auto-acknowledge, reCAPTCHA, honeypot, and other anti-spam mechanisms. The plugin creates a new database table to store submissions. You control for how long those records are kept so you’re compliant with GDPR. Currently localized to English, but other languages should be easy to add if you need it.
Published under GPL v3 so feel free to use it as-is or change the code to your needs. Built and tested on OJS 3.4, but most likely works on 3.5 as well. Supports PHP 8.0 onwards.
You can find the code and instructions over at GitHub - darkocujic/pkp_contactForm: Contact form plugin for PKP OJS · GitHub. Feel free to open an issue or contribute!
