Checking file type due to "File type grouping" in new submission

hi
i use ojs 3.1
i have big question in my mind, in the workflow i could set file type grouping for every Article Components!
but how can it work?

i think when i set “Article Text”,File type grouping = Document so when author wants Upload Submission File
and select Article Component box as Article Text , he couldn’t upload any file and he should upload just document type files like doc,docx,pdf , …

but i think its nothing work very well ?!
please share your experience and idea

Hi @mbabaei,

OJS allows any kind of file upload, unless you use a plugin like the Allowed Uploads plugin. That plugin isn’t specific to the “file type grouping”.

The type grouping is intended to allow different types of metadata – the supplementary grouping, for example, allows uploads to have a full Dublin Core metadata set; Documents just have titles; and Artwork has image-related metadata like resolution, rights, etc.
