Change of Domain and Splitting Journals

Hi,

We have two journals under a single domain. We want to split them and assign each of them to new domains. I have few questions on this.

1. How to split the journals and add to new domain.
2. Doing this, whether the Article ID remain the same or not.
3. After splitting, is it possible to redirect to new domain (If some visit the old domain)

Using OJS 3.3.0-14.

I answered in the thread @rcgillis pointed, but long story short, you only need to “duplicate your OJS installation, and remove all journals except the one you like to isolate”.

Is not fast and fancy, but works perfectly.

I did it plenty of times with journals that arrive to us from external services and I don’t have any fancy tooling to do the job (and I don’t need it). Not sure why this petition is recurrent in the forum… as far as the process is as simple (or complex) as duplicate your OJS installation, and remove all journals except the one you like to isolate. If you have 10 journals… you will need to do this 9 times. After deleting one journal, what would be the article id. Will it be same? Or they rearr…

Certainly, would be nice to have an script to automatize this… but its a job you don’t do every day and once you know what you do, it won’t take more than a couple of hours per journal.
