Hi all

Recently it migrate to the versión 3.1.0 and in this moments I have a problem when i try access to the option submission in the mneu workflow settings it shown blank page how it can see in the image

Can you view the PHP error log and tell what errors do you see while getting this problem?

There can be several reasons. let’s try to find out some possible reasons:

  1. Which version of PHP you have on server?
  2. Does your server database connection charset is the same as charset of database?
  3. Please provide PHP error log
  4. Do you have error console listings that can be useful for diagnosing error?

The last one is the fatal error. It is called when one of the plugins calls hasRole() method on an instance of the User class.
PKP team probably knows better, but I think you got problems with your journal role. Maybe it is not recorded in the database. You can check it by yourself with, for example, phpmyadmin. As I remember you need to look at the table users (for your id) and table user_user_groups for your role.

This has already been fixed in OJS 3.1.0-1 by this commit – I’d suggest upgrading to the latest release.

the stranger is that for others magazines with the role magazine manager if i can see the tag submission in the workflow settings I dont know if the problem is of user

Please check permissions too for your cache folder. This might be on of issues since I noticed that in your error log .

So, as Alec suggested, it makes sense first to upgrade to latest OJS release (3.1.0-1) and then chack if the error persists.

With this release 3.1.0-1 it is solved the problem of tag blank submmission in workflow settings and i want to tell you that this problem is not presents in all magazine, only in particular one magazine ¿what would be error? thanks you

I have the same error after I migrate my page to another server. I think it’s a database error but I can’t find him. I use OJS 3.1.2-1 and PHP 7.3. The PHP-Log only this but I think this has nothing to do:
