We are using OJS 184.108.40.206 and journals don’t have the autonomy for adding Section Editors on their own in cases where the user is shared amongst other journals.
Currently one needs to edit a user profile to add a new role to a given user. However if that user is shared with other journals, the journal manager can’t edit their profile and therefore cannot add the Section Editor role.
This results in us, the Site Administrators, having to do it on their behalf.
Ideally journals should have complete autonomy of adding/removing roles to their users, without depending on Site Administrators.
Perhaps disassociating the roles from the user profile?
