Author Requirements Plugin not working?

I am using the Quick-Submit plugin, and it requires an author email, which is not always known (fully discussed in the forum), and thus this requirement was removed by using " Author Requirements Plugin".
I installed that plugin, but the Quick-submit still shows that all authors require emails.
Indeed, from admin dashboard/tools, plugins installed, the Author-Requirements plugin does show up as installed and enabled.
On the plugins list, it is shown as “up to date”, and clicking on that plugin it reports: “plugin already installed and up to date”..
But Quick-Submit still requires an email - what might be wrong here?

Version OJS 3.4.0.5

PS: In the settings for the plugin, I did check the option for “optional email”.

Hi @guthrie,

I tested this too, with the plugin installed, and got the same message about the email being required. @ewhanson - any ideas on this?

Seems to be a known issue..
email is still compulsory in quicksubmit in ojs 3.4 · Issue #14 · pkp/authorRequirements · GitHub since 2023,
I didn’t see any final resolution.

Hey @guthrie and @rcgillis, thanks for the poke on this. I’ve merged a fix for this and will get a new release created for the plugin gallery shortly.

Version 2.0.1-0 is now available for OJS and OMP 3.4 via the plugin gallery. Thanks for your patience.
