Describe the issue or problem
The schematron metadata quality report by Crossref for our journal reports warnings for two articles:
W12 : Surname ‘Guyer jr.’ contains ‘Jr.’ DOI: ‘10.2533/chimia.1967.134’ INFO: [12] :DOI: ‘10.2533/chimia.1967.134’
W12 : Surname ‘Boardman Jr.’ contains ‘Jr.’ DOI: ‘10.2533/chimia.1964.110’ INFO: [12] :DOI: ‘10.2533/chimia.1964.110’
The explanation in
https://data.crossref.org/reports/schematron/data/messages.html#W12
states:
|W12|Surname '_' contains 'Jr.' DOI: '_'|
| --- | --- |
|**Detail:** Do not deposit Jr. or Sr. deposit in surname. Suffixes should be tagged with <suffix>.|
Question
Is at any time (e.g. with CRAFT-OA) planned to include name suffixes with OJS and to provide the suffix element in the Crossref export, see Crossref metadata deposit schema 5.3.1, element person_name (https://data.crossref.org/reports/help/schema_doc/5.3.1/index.html)?
What application are you using?
OJS 3.4.0-8
