Articles are not created in OJS 3.1.2.1

Current version OJS: 3.1.2.1
PHP version: 7.3.19-1~deb10u1
Apache version: Apache/2.4.38 (Debian)

Hello! Faced a problem in OJS. The fact is that in the OJS database itself I am trying to send an article, submitting an article consists of 5 stages, but after pressing the save and continue button, it does not go to the second stage, it just starts endless loading (the loading circle is spinning). I checked it on the local Open Server, everything works there, but on the server of the institute there is an endless load.

Have you faced a similar problem?

Thank you.

Do you have some kind of sandbox system that is only accessible to a restricted group of people where you could turn on the debug settings in config.inc.php? Is there any info output on your browser’s developer console (e.g. in Firefox press F12, go to “Console” tab)? Did you upgrade from some other version of OJS and if yes, which one?

We had encoding-related issues after upgrading from 3.1.2-1 to 3.2.1-1, because we missed a setting in our database. But if I remember correctly the workflow you are describing was not affected by that.

(Gabriele)

Only these warnings are displayed on the console, but they are displayed even before loading endlessly.

The settings file looks like this:

; these pages will be cached in local flat files for the number of hours

; 1) Things like journal metadata changes will not be reflected in cached
