Adding documents to previously held conference

Hi All

I search for this but did not see anything pertinent.

We are setting up an OCS for a conference held last year, 2014, and all papers etc are available, reviewed and final. Tried looking for a quick submit but could not find anything for it on OCS. We would like to create the metadata and upload the PDF that goes with it.

Any help!
Nazim

Hi @Nazimm,

OCS doesn’t have a Quick Submit plugin, but it does have an import/export plugin if your papers are suitable for massaging into that format. Otherwise your best bet is to use the workflow – note that it’s not necessary to use all the tools, such as peer review, fully. You will need a few clicks per paper to move the submission through as Director, though.

Olá @asmecher
please, be more specific with this statement:
but it does have an import/export plugin if your papers are suitable for massaging into that format.

we have 3 previous editions published in the OJS here:

and we need to move to OCS aqui:

Hi @David,

It sounds like you’re trying to transfer submissions from OJS to OCS. Can you describe what your goals are? I’m not aware of anyone who’s done this before; you’ll have to adapt the XML somewhat, as the formats are similar but not identical.

objectives:

  1. We have two publications (proceedings) published in the Journal Portal (OJS) before we Event Portal (OCS). These publications now have events at OCS. So we need to file them in their respective events. 2) What is the prospect of creating or adapting the quick submission plugin OJS in OCS?

Hi @David,

To adapt the QuickSubmit plugin from OJS 2.x to OCS 2.x, you’ll need to adapt a few workflow distinctions – primarily that OCS doesn’t need support for issue-based publication, and also to correct for terminology (article becomes paper, section becomes track, etc).
