Ability to remove recommend only selection from an editor?

Hi,

I have had some cases recently where an editor has been assigned to a submission only with the possibility to recommend decisions. In all cases this has been done by mistake.

If this happens by accident, you can not change the assignment to remove that selection. (you can of course remove the assignment and assign again)

Also, it is not apparent in the stage assignments grid that the editor has limited ability to do decisions. The editors have been clueless why they can not interact with a particular submission the same way as with the other submissions.

So, maybe these things could be considered?

I can’t remember what it was but I think Dmitris was working on it.
