Problem export to crossref

Hi

I am using ojs 2.4.8.2 with a doi suffix for galleys %j.%Y.%v.%i.%a.g%g but when I download the xml from Crossref Plugin the galley doi is not generated well.

Is a bug?

Thanks

Hi @Enrique_Manuel_Touce,

How does you generated suffix looks like?

But in de xml generated for crossref is not ok

Hi @Enrique_Manuel_Touce

I cannot see any correct XML – could you please use Blockquote or Preformatted text for that?

Thanks!
Bozana

Hi

Hi @Enrique_Manuel_Touce

Hmmm… What do you think is not correct?
If using the Crossref, I believe you should only assign the DOIs on article level – not also on the galley level.

Hi

I think that the Crossref generate de two dois the article and the galley. if not the link DOI (PDF): https://doi.org/xxxx/reipe.2016.3.1.723.g1074 dont work.

Is that correct or two dois should link to article abstract?

Thnks

Hi

The Crossref plugin in OJS only considers article DOIs and not galley DOIs. Thus, the galley DOIs will not be registered using the Crossref plugin in OJS. (The issue and supplementary file DOIs are not necessary but they will be considered, only together with the article DOIs).
Thus, I would recommend to change your DOI plugin settings so that DOIs are not assigned to galleys. Else, you would have to register galley DOIs manually and I am not sure how i.e. what metadata i.e. XML elements to use, in order for their registration to be correct. I believe you would need to ask Crossref.
Most of the Crossref users only use article DOIs in OJS.
