Firstly, thank you all for the excellent OJS project!
I’ve started using the OJS 3.0 and I’m looking for the search field and choose language field (useful for visitors/readers without login). Just like the component existed in the 2.4.8 version:
How to add it in OJS 3.0?

Do you have multiple UI languages enabled in the language settings page? If so, the sidebar should contain links to choose languages.

Yes, I have. Portuguese is my first language and English is enabled.

Go to Settings > Website in the Journal Manager’s dashboard, and under the “Sidebar management” area, ensure that the language toggle block is configured to appear.

That appears to be the plugin list, not the sidebar management area. Are you working with a multi-journal install, or a single-journal install?

How can I find the “Sidebar Management Area”? Is it in each Journal administration section?

Ah, I see – the sidebar management area is available when you’re setting up an individual journal, but not when setting up the site-wide area for a multi-journal install. I’ve filed this for attention:

The github issue linked above (Add Sidebar Management to site settings for multi-journal installs · Issue #1859 · pkp/pkp-lib · GitHub) is scheduled against OJS 3.0.2 and thus the change will be released with that version. Until then, you’d need to cherry-pick the changes into your installation using git. (I don’t recommend doing this unless you know what you’re taking on.)
